Promotional Products
When you own a business you should be aware what is involved in a successful marketing campaign. You should make note that most commonly the simple campaigns are more successful. For this reason, attempt classic campaigns such as personalised pens.
Cheaper Products
In the advent of internet technology businesses the world over enjoyed an economic boom. Businesses everywhere were growing and expanding. Small to medium enterprise became competitive against the larger companies since it was a lot cheaper to advertise on an international scale. Because of this economic boom the consumer’s purchasing power also increased. They are now able to afford more expensive products. High end brands and labels became all the rave. For a time all was good. However, the business community is in a state of constant change. The economy is also just as fragile and is easily affected by any sudden events in the business community as illustrated by the ongoing economic crisis which was triggered by a single business entity.
Product Differentiation
The third explanation of trade patterns is economies of scale. Scale economies are an important explanation of intra-industry trade, whereas factor endowments and technological differences may explain inter-industry trade. Internal economies of scale occur at the firm level, and give rise to imperfectly competitive markets. These markets often exhibit product differentiation, with consumers benefiting from the variety of goods that are made available through trade. External economies of scale occur at the industry level and are largely based upon synergistic relationships among firms. The division of labour is limited by the extent of the market. However, when trade is opened up in a monopolistically competitive industry, overall market size expands.
